- Gary Ward has been singing Gospel music for many years! Many individuals assert that his voice sounds comparable to that of Elvis… of course, without the shaking or hip swinging. However, after one comes to know this serious Gospel singer with his remarkable baritone voice, it becomes apparent that he sings in his own gentle style of music–and imitates no one!
Gary has performed his Gospel music for many audiences, including conventions and theaters, as well as TV and radio shows, where he sings many of the songs he has written–three of which became No. #1 hits in Georgia and Tennessee, namely, “I Surrender,” “Second Chance” and “Gospel Train.” Gary also records for the Laymen’s Gospel Network, which is carried by six radio stations and heard in 15 states in the U.S. Gary also became a big hit with the viewers of a weekly TV show, “From the First Hallelujah to the Last Amen,“ which was seen on KSBI-TV, Channel 52 of Oklahoma City–and seen in five states and 480 cities. Gary has been the featured singer for many events, as well the feature singer twice at the State Fair of Oklahoma… and has sung for many Christian organizations and churches too numerous to mention.
Gary worked for the Post office for 21 years, and worked diligently, willingly and tirelessly to help tell others about the love and saving power of Jesus Christ. Gary Ward is known as the “Singing Evangelist,” because he sings as well as evangelizes in his services. As stated above, Gary sings many of the songs he has written; and his songs are still being heard on many stations nationwide today, as well as on KKNG and KBYE of Oklahoma where his songs are often played by request of the listening audience.
Gary Ward has been a faithful minister, witness and steward for Christ through the years–and we know you will love him as we do! We are so honored to present Gary Ward on Chariot Records. You may contact him at: (405) 364-7056.
