Hi there, please allow me to introduce myself: My name is Roy Frazier, and I live in Danville, Virginia. My earliest childhood memories are centered around music and church. As the “son of a preacher man,” I consider myself blessed and fortunate to have a rich heritage and legacy of Music and Ministry. I first sang on the radio at the age of 2½, and I have been singing ever since. After graduating from high school I attended Emmanuel Jr. College (one of the fine schools associated with our denomination). I then went on to university where I obtained the B.A. in Psychology, graduating magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa with other honors. I then entered the graduate program and received a Master’s Degree in Experimental Psychology. Following this I went on to obtain a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, with a year-long internship at a Veteran’s Hospital, followed by a year’s residency as Clinician in the University Psychology Clinic while completing my dissertation. I taught at both the undergraduate and graduate university level, and was Head of The Psychology Department and Director of Counseling at a 4-year college before embarking on a ten year period in private clinical practice. I have also been a pastor in active ministry for over 30 years, and my greatest joy still is sharing the Love of JESUS CHRIST and the Truth of the Gospel in song and anointed Word.
I am truly blessed to have been married for over 40 years to my lovely wife Linda. I have four wonderful sons, and 10 highly remarkable grandchildren.. with more on the way!! I enjoy sports; love to play golf, ride my motorcycle, and spending quality time with friends and family… and, most of all, making music! I play piano, organ, guitar, & bass guitar, as well as Chutes and Ladders, and Connect-4… Over the years I have written numerous songs and worship choruses. My eldest son Scott and I opened a recording studio in 1984, and, in addition to recording our own music, we still do some recording for others on a selective basis.
My life is good because GOD is good! I realize that most of my earthly life is behind me, but I don’t feel old at all. The view from the sunsetside of the mountain is crystal clear, and the way before me is wide open and well lit. So beloved… GOD bless you all abundantly! SHALL WE DANCE….. ♪♫♪
Scott has been actively involved in church ministry since the age of 14. Through the years, he has served in various capacities… teacher, worship leader, youth minister, media coordinator, administrative assistant, and much more. These diverse expressions of service have equipped him to better understand each facet and function of church culture. He now presides as Senior Pastor of New Covenant Christian Church in Wilkesboro, North Carolina, which he planted in 2006.
The list of artists Scott has played with, written for, produced & engineered for, is too lengthy to list. He began playing instruments before the age of 10, and has never looked back. From gospel to pop, hip-hop to country, he continues to produce many artists and all styles. His love for the piano, and appreciation of smooth jazz, can be felt on his debut album recently released, “Never Alone”.
After nearly 8 years of full time ministry with nationally renowned music group, Higher Ground, Scott began his journey into pastoring. With a passion for worship, and a precision in the word, Scott brings an energy to every service he participates in, as well as an excitement to every church he visits. With multiple trips to Africa, Germany, England, Canada, and other countries, Scott continues to answer his call to the nations. His presentation of the Kingdom will encourage every believer to fulfill their destiny, as well as strengthen any congregation to its fullest potential!
