Daniel and Carolyn Rainwater

Daniel Rainwater probably would not tell you that he has achieved the status of a broken Christian time after time. His favorite quote is his own, “If Paul was the Chief of Sinners; I must be the Weakest of Saints”. It seemed logical to write a book called, The Weakest of Saints. His life story through this book shows how God brings us to brokenness to become closer to our creator, to love others more passionately and within the boundaries of God’s standard for healthier relationships.

Daniel engages his musical talent for soul winning, to comfort those who need healing, hope, and restoration. Carolyn will tell you when Daniel sings to her his collection of Psalms, a new level of refreshing blesses her. Together, Daniel and Carolyn have teamed up to write, sing, and play, a new collection of songs, such as “Father”.

Daniel and Carolyn are both addiction counselors and have co-authored a book previously dubbed, “A Mandate for Life”. This self-evaluation manual is a one of a kind Bible based, no nonsense approach to evaluate life’s problems on a personal scale, with practical answers.

Together, Daniel and Carolyn have 4 children, 7 grandchildren, and one 3 year old at home. They have fostered over 20 kiddos and now enjoy seeing many of those grown up foster kids as part of our family once again.

Daniel volunteered for Vietnam and was subsequently sent to Europe. There he began quite a journey which included drug use, salvation (even though he surrendered to preach at age 15 and was ordained as a Baptist preacher at that young age). He attended Bible College and worked as a counselor in the military until he returned to civilian life. Daniel has had several mentors that we appreciate so much. They helped to restore him to know God’s love for him. Thanks Hank and Trudy, Winkie and Faye.
